Manage members & Live Class
Assign students, open Live Class tasks, and share conversations on Interactive Threads.

The Tutor Panel turns a Tutor from a personal assistant into a classroom tool.
Owners and editors use the Member tab for roster and evaluations. Structured
goals and live monitoring live in Live Class (from a Classroom, or the
Tutor Panel Live Class tab once you join a session).
Member tab (owners & editors)
Open your Tutor → Member tab to:
- Students — add or remove students; see questions asked and last activity;
open History for read-only conversations. - Collaborators — invite co-teachers (when the tutor is not linked to a
classroom). - Evaluations — generate tutor evaluation reports (see Evaluate student
learning).
If the tutor is linked to a Classroom, the roster is managed by the
classroom (read-only here). Open the classroom Member tab to change who
has access. Deleting that tutor also unlinks it from the classroom — you
will see a confirm warning that names the classrooms.
Tasks live in Live Class
Structured learning goals are Live Class tasks — not a separate Missions
section on the Tutor Panel.
- Link the Tutor to a Classroom (Classroom → Tutor → Link).
- Create a Live Class from that linked tutor (see Create a Live Class).
- Add tasks (title, description, finish condition, optional question,
media, and a submit box — Off / Free text / MCQ). Use Improve with AI to
refine wording. Optionally Require tasks in order. - Go live and monitor mastery on the Live Class Tasks / Students
tabs. After class, open Evaluation for insights and a session report.
Students see tasks in their Live Class panel while a session is running.
Structured goals are authored as Live Class tasks. An internal mission-
checking tool may still appear in some agent traces — it is not a separate
Missions tab.
Session controls
During a live session, Student Controls help manage classroom pace:
- Mute Students — block new messages from students (and pushes to Interactive
Threads). - Request Frequency Limit — minimum seconds between student messages.
- Interactive Threads post frequency — minimum seconds between student
pushes to Interactive Threads (0= no limit).
Students may see these limits in the chat status bar (muted, cooldown, or
not yet joined). Settings can auto-reset when you leave a session.
Live Class (from Classroom) is the full classroom-scoped experience —
roster monitoring, tasks, Evaluation, pull invite, and Thread. See the Live
Class collection.Joining a live class does not lock tutor chat. Students can still start a
new chat with the tutor. Only pause access blocks messaging.
Interactive Threads
Students can Push to Interactive Threads so the teacher sees a conversation
on the projector or shared screen. Teachers can also Post to Interactive
Threads from the Live Class roster.
- Join or open a Live Class session.
- Open the Thread tab (Interactive Threads).
- View student-pushed threads; collapse or expand messages as needed.
Pushing is blocked while students are muted, and rate-limited by the
Interactive Threads post frequency setting.
Pair Live Class tasks with Evaluate a Live Class (session reports) and
Classroom evaluation reports. Tutor Member Evaluations remain available
for conversation-level reviews.
