Evaluate student learning

Review students' Tutor conversations and generate AI evaluation reports based on your own criteria.

Last updated Sep 6, 2026

Tutors give you insight into how students learn. You can review their
conversations and generate structured evaluation reports.

Evaluations complement Live Class tasks and classroom activity by giving you a
broader picture of each student's engagement, curiosity, and understanding over
time.

Review conversations

Reading a student's chat history helps you understand what they are curious about and where they may need more support.

  1. Open your Tutor and go to the Member tab → Evaluations area.
  2. Select a student to view the questions they asked and how they interacted with
    the Tutor.

You can read these conversations to understand each student's curiosity and
understanding. (You can view but not edit their chats.)

Generate an evaluation report

Evaluation reports summarize student interactions into a downloadable Excel file you can share or archive.

  1. Open the Evaluations area in your Tutor (Member tab).
  2. Click Generate Evaluation and name the file.
  3. Optionally upload evaluation criteria (a rubric) for criteria-aligned reports.
  4. Wait for processing — download the Excel file when complete.

Get the most from evaluations

A clear rubric and well-defined Live Class tasks make evaluation reports far more actionable.

  • Pair tutor evaluations with Live Class session reports and Classroom
    evaluation reports
when you need class-wide or session-level insight.
  • Upload a clear rubric so reports focus on what matters to you.
  • Use the insights to spot students who need extra support.

Evaluations are a guide, not a grade — combine them with your own judgement.
