Create & join a classroom

Create a classroom (teachers)

1. Open Classroom from the sidebar (or bottom bar on mobile).
2. Click Create classroom.
3. Enter a name, subject, one or more grades, and optional
   description.
4. Pick a cover image (optional).
5. If Google Classroom is connected, optionally check Also create in Google
   Classroom to create a matching Google course.
6. Click Create.

Your new classroom opens on the Dashboard tab with a join code ready to share.

Google Classroom sync

When your Google account is connected under Settings → Connectors:

• Create with Also create in Google Classroom, or link later from classroom
  settings (Sync).
• New announcements can also post to Google Classroom when sync is on.
• Unsync clears the link in Zense AI only — it does not delete the
  Google course.

Browse your classrooms

The Classroom directory has three tabs:

• My classrooms — classrooms you belong to
• School — published templates from your school
• Public — published community templates

On My classrooms, filter by subject, grade, or school class;
search by name; switch grid or list view. Empty state offers Create
classroom or Join/Import.

Join a classroom (students)

Students join from the directory:

1. Open Classroom.
2. Click Join.
3. Enter the 8-character join code from your teacher (or paste the join link).
   The dialog title is Join classroom.

After joining, the classroom appears under My classrooms.

Join or import (teachers)

Teachers see Join/Import instead of Join. The same box accepts:

• a join code — add yourself to the roster, or
• an import (share) code — copy the classroom into your account (no roster).

Share the join code (teachers)

From Dashboard or Member, copy the join code or join link and
share it with students. Regenerate the code anytime if you need a fresh link.
