Create a Live Class
Set up tasks — including questions, media, and a submit box — and link a tutor before you go live.

Live Classes are always created from a Classroom — they use the classroom
roster automatically (no per-student picker).
From the Classroom Tutor tab
- Open your classroom → Tutor.
- Make sure at least one tutor is linked.
- Open the tutor's menu → Create live class.
- If multiple tutors are linked, pick the tutor for this session.
- Add an optional session title.
- Add one or more tasks (see below).
- Optionally turn on Require tasks in order.
- Click Create.
You land on the Live Class page in offline state — ready to edit tasks or go
live when class starts.
After you join a session, teachers can also work from the Tutor Panel Live
Class tab (same monitoring UI in the right panel).
Author a task
Every Live Class needs at least one task. Tasks define what you monitor —
student mastery, alerts, and evaluation reports all refer back to these goals.
Each task has three sections:
Basics
- Title and description — what students should do.
- Finish condition — when the AI should mark the task correct (students
never need to guess your grading bar). Toggle Visible to students if you
want them to see that criterion.
Use Improve with AI to refine wording (Keep AI suggestion or Revert to
my version). It can rewrite title, description, finish condition, and the
question when present.
Content (optional)
- + Question — a prompt students see on the task page.
- + Media — one image or video. Choose Upload from computer, Google
Drive, OneDrive, From Library, or Paste a link (YouTube for
video, or a direct image URL). During the session, the linked tutor can
read that media in chat automatically (see Agent tools).
Submit box
Students can still chat with the tutor either way.

For MCQ, add options and tick the correct one(s) — students never see the
key. Optional Partial credit awards mastery 2 when some but not all
correct options are selected. Multiple choice is always graded Auto.
For Free text, choose Grading: Auto (AI) or Manual review (you
set mastery later; students see Submitted — waiting for your teacher to
review).
Mastery is 0–3 (empty circle → red → amber → green).
Require tasks in order
Require tasks in order (In order on the Tasks tab) means students must
attempt each student-visible task before the next one unlocks. They can still
browse ahead.
Change this setting only while the class is offline. You can still add or
edit tasks after Create; reorder is locked while the class is live.
