Attaching files & cloud connectors

Chat works best when it can see your material. You can attach files from your
device, Library, or connected cloud accounts — and speak instead of typing.

Attachment limits are shown in the composer (direct uploads and library items
count separately; items inside folders count toward the library limit).

Attach files

1. In the message box, click the attachment / upload button.
2. Choose:
   • Upload from your computer
   • Google Drive or OneDrive (if connected)
   • From Library — pick folders or files (items inside folders count toward
     limits)
3. Ask Chat about the files — e.g. "Summarise this" or "Make flashcards from
   chapter 2."

Smart File Processing — when you attach many files, Chat uses agent tools to
analyze content beyond normal context limits.

Code & text files

You can attach source code and plain-text files in Chat (and the same types in
Library uploads and Tutor knowledge bases). Supported extensions include
common programming languages — for example .py, .js, .ts, .java, .cpp,
.html, .css, .json, .md, .sql, and .txt.

• Treated as plain text so the model can read and explain your code.
• Same size limits as other document uploads (see the composer hint).
• Useful for debugging, code review, or asking questions about a script or config
  file.

Speech-to-text

Click the microphone to dictate your message instead of typing.

• Recording stops after idle silence or a maximum session length.
• Your speech is transcribed into the message box before sending.
• You can edit the transcription before you send.
• If the app language is not Simplified Chinese, spoken Chinese is converted
  to Traditional Chinese in the transcription.

Connect a cloud account

1. Go to Settings → Connectors.
2. Click Connect for:
   • Google Drive — attach files to chat; export Google Forms to Drive.
   • Microsoft OneDrive — attach OneDrive files to chat or library.
   • Canva — open slide decks in the Canva editor.
   • Google Classroom (BETA) — class sync (not file attach) — see
     Connectors.
3. Approve access. Disconnect anytime from the same page.

File and library attachment limits are shown in the composer. Connectors must be
enabled for your workspace — ask your school admin if one is missing.
